A journey through the year as a metaphor for life. With The Seasons, the elderly Joseph Haydn composed a great secular oratorio about man's integration into the cycle of nature, music full of colour, splendour and great rhetorical power. This inspired choreographer Martin Schläpfer to create his first full-length dance work for the Vienna State Ballet, in which 80 dancers join three soloists from the Vienna State Opera choir, the Arnold Schoenberg Choir and the Vienna State Opera Orchestra.
