This essential bel canto work, which, together with Roberto Devereux and Anna Bolena, completes Donizetti's trilogy of Tudor queens, will be premiered at the Real. A new production by David McVicar. Starring in the dramatic confrontation between Mary Stuart and her executor, Queen Elizabeth I, will be the voices of Lisette Oropesa, Yolanda Auyanet, Ismael Jordi, Silvia Tro Santafé, Aigul Akhmetshina and Airam Hernández, among others.

Premiere at the Teatro Real
New production of the Teatro Real, in co-production with the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Donizetti Opera Festival - Bergamo, La Monnaie/De Munt of Brussels and the Finnish National Opera (Suomen kansallisooppera ja -baletti).
