Tomás Marco’s contemporary opera Tenorio brings the universal myth of Don Juan to life at the Teatro Real, staged by the theatre company Agrupación Señor Serrano, founded by Àlex Serrano and Pau Palacios. The cast brings together renowned singers such as Joan Martín-Royo, Juan Francisco Gatell and Adriana González.

Based on José Zorrilla’s famous Don Juan Tenorio, enriched with texts by Tirso de Molina, Molière, Lord Byron, Lorenzo da Ponte, Goldoni, Zamora, Sor Juan Inés de la Cruz and others, the opera explores and updates the story through its protagonist and the characters of Doña Inés, Doña Ana and Lucía.
