Callas, la divina

This world premiere is a dance tribute to an artist who forever marked the opera world.

Controversial, profound, provocative, mysterious, risk-taking and dedicated, Callas, la Divina was created especially for the Ballet de Santiago and its artists, by the Belgian-Colombian choreographer Annabelle Lopez Ochoa (Réquiem para una rosa) and her creative team. On stage, the spaces that marked her life will be recreated - Greece and the Mediterranean Sea, for example - while at the centre will always be that which marked her until her death in Paris: her voice.

Callas the artist and Callas the woman meet on the stage of the Teatro Municipal de Santiago, as part of the Callas Cycle celebrating 100 years since her birth.
