La traviata (Ópera en corto)
The Teatro Real has created ‘Ópera en Corto’, reduced versions, of around 45 minutes, of works from the lyric repertoire explained by the composer Francesca Caccini (1587-1641), recreated virtually. From the hand of the first woman composer of an opera -also a singer, lutenist, poet and educator-, the Real offers an entertaining journey through the most popular operas.
In this third instalment, Francesca Caccini will take us through the class society of 19th-century Paris with a score full of colour and emotion that includes popular musical moments such as “Libiamo” and “Sempre libera”, in which we will discover themes such as social injustice, compassion and the search for true love.
The project is supported by NTT DATA, as well as Telefónica's technology in MyOpera.
